A Wedding Day That Took Us Across Oahu
One of the things we love most about photographing weddings in Hawaii is that your wedding day doesn't have to happen in just one location. This beautiful celebration took us from Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, to a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Augustine by the Sea, followed by a couple's session at Waialae Beach Park, and finally back to Hilton Hawaiian Village for an unforgettable reception.
It was a full day filled with beautiful locations, meaningful moments, and one very special surprise from Hawaii itself.
Getting Ready at Hilton Hawaiian Village
The day began at Hilton Hawaiian Village, where the couple got ready surrounded by family, friends, and all the excitement leading up to the ceremony.
Capturing these quiet moments before the wedding is one of our favorite parts of the day. The little details, emotions, and anticipation make the story feel complete.
A Beautiful Catholic Ceremony in Waikiki
The ceremony took place at St. Augustine by the Sea Catholic Church, located right in the heart of Waikiki. The beautiful church provided a meaningful and traditional setting for the couple to exchange their vows.
After the ceremony, we headed to the coast for something completely different: portraits surrounded by the natural beauty of Oahu.
A Rainbow at Waialae Beach Park 🌈
For their couple's session, we made our way to Waialae Beach Park on Oahu's South Shore.
And then Hawaii gave us the most incredible gift.
A beautiful rainbow appeared over the ocean during their session, creating a moment that felt almost too perfect to be real. It became one of those unexpected wedding-day memories that makes photographing couples in Hawaii so special.
A Waikiki Reception at the Rainbow Tower
The celebration continued back at Hilton Hawaiian Village, with the reception taking place at the Rainbow Tower. The venue offers beautiful ocean and Honolulu coastline views, making it a spectacular setting for an evening celebration.
The energy continued throughout the night with DJ Lejas, who kept everyone on the dance floor and brought the perfect party atmosphere to the reception.
And just when everyone thought the night couldn't get better, the evening ended with the iconic Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks lighting up the Waikiki sky. The resort is known for its Friday night fireworks, making it an unforgettable finale to an already incredible wedding day.
Capturing a Wedding Across Oahu
From getting ready in Waikiki to a Catholic ceremony, a rainbow-filled beach session, and a lively reception followed by fireworks, this wedding was the perfect example of how much beauty can be part of one Hawaii wedding day.
At Sara Hawaii Photo, we love documenting weddings naturally and authentically, while Miguel Hawaii Films captures the movement, sounds, and emotions through cinematic wedding videography.
If you're planning a multi-location wedding in Oahu, we'd love to be there to capture every chapter of your day. 🌺
